Inspired Life

Where Meaghan Jackson’s life was once overwhelming and chaotic, now she has replaced that with a peaceful existence where she coaches others. She talked about being a highly sensitive person and how she copes with being over-stimulated by sound, visual input, sensations, etc. As a mom of all boys, she’s learned how to help them cope, which has taught her something about her own challenges and needs.

What challenged Meaghan’s faith most was her second miscarriage. At the end of herself, she learned to lean on God’s power, to find community, and to be more intentional about her thoughts.

About Meaghan:
Meaghan Jackson calls herself a “gentle parenting coach.” She has taken her passion for bringing peaceful calm to family life and pairs that with her background in education to help parents become more confident and well equipped. She has both a Bachelor of Education and Bachelor of Engineering along with several years of teaching experience at a private school. For the past 12 years, she has homeschooled her three boys building community, advocating, organizing events and leading classes. In addition to homeschooling, she is a working mother. As a successful business owner and entrepreneur, Meaghan understands the difficulties that many parents go through trying to juggle it all. Her own struggles and transformation are what led her to become a parenting coach because she desires for others to rediscover the joy in parenting.

Life, Repurposed

Meaghan said when she was overwhelmed as a mom and couldn’t figure out how to cope, she realized, “There is no pause button. I still had to be a mom.”

Journaling is one way Meaghan processes her thoughts. She will write down her negative thoughts, then crosses them out and writes out truth from Scripture as a visual way of showing that she’s replacing her thoughts.

Meaghan said when other people notice you need help, it truly is a problem. She took parenting courses and it helped her family. That eventually led to developing parenting resources for others and becoming a parent coach—she’s repurposed her struggle into a ministry!
